Montgrí, Medes Islands and Lower Ter Natural Park
Montgrí, Medes Islands and Lower Ter Natural Park (Catalan: Parc Natural del Montgrí, les illes Medes i el Baix Ter) is a protected landscape and seascape in Catalonia, Spain. It lies in the province of Girona and was created in 2010. The park covers about 8,192 hectares in total, with around 6,155 hectares of land and 2,037 hectares of marine protection. It includes the Medes Islands, the Montgrí Massif, and the mouth of the Ter River.
The park stretches across several towns: L'Escala, Torroella de Montgrí, Pals, Bellcaire d'Empordà, Palau-sator, Ullà, Fontanilles and Gualta. It is managed by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
