Steven Taylor (American cricketer)

Steven Ryan Taylor (born November 9, 1993) is an American cricketer who has played for the United States national team since 2010. He is a left-handed batsman who often opens the batting and can bowl right-arm off spin. Early in his career he also kept wicket. He comes from a Jamaican background, born in Hialeah, Florida.

Early life
- Born in South Florida to Jamaican parents, Loveth and Sylvan Taylor.
- Trained by his father and mentor Mark Johnson, becoming the youngest player in the local SFCA Premier Division and one of the first teens to score big centuries in Florida youth cricket.

U-19 and international career
- Represented the United States at the Under-19 level, including the 2010 ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, as a wicketkeeper-batsman.
