Vehey Vaarey Therein is a 2003 Maldivian romantic drama directed by Abdul Faththaah. Produced by Fatthah and Shiham Rasheed for Motion Pictures, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Jamsheedha Ahmed, Mohamed Shavin, Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi and Amira Ismail. The story follows Liusha, a young woman who endures abuse from her guardian and agrees to marry Azim, a careless man. Azim, influenced by his friends, treats his wife poorly and carries on an affair with his ex Nathasha, who hints she will marry him if Liusha’s marriage breaks. Liusha becomes pregnant, upsetting Azim. Nathasha leaves for Sri Lanka. Liusha gives birth to a son, and Azim starts spending more time with his family. Nathasha returns, unhappy with Azim’s loyalty to Liusha, and uses black magic in an attempt to win him back.
