Eopleurotoma is an extinct genus of sea snails known from fossils. They are marine gastropod mollusks in the family Turridae (the turrids). Taxonomy: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Mollusca; Class Gastropoda; Subclass Caenogastropoda; Order Neogastropoda; Superfamily Conoidea. The genus Eopleurotoma was named by Cossmann in 1889. Synonyms include Pleurotoma (Eopleurotoma).
