World Triathlon Long Distance Duathlon Championships
World Triathlon Long Distance Duathlon Championships is a yearly long-distance duathlon. It started in 1997, with a break in 2009 and 2010. The race uses a run–cycle–run format. Distances are longer than the standard ITU Duathlon World Championships and vary by venue and year. The event is organized by the International Triathlon Union (ITU). In the first three years (1997–1999) and again since 2011, it has been held together with the International Powerman Association (IPA) at Zofingen, Switzerland. The Powerman Zofingen race is billed as the most famous and toughest duathlon in the world and is the longest course used for the championships. It also serves as the final race of the Powerman Duathlon World Series.
