VCU Rams men's tennis represents Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. The team competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference and plays home matches at Thalhimer Tennis Center, a six-court facility that seats about 300 on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus between Main and Cary Streets. The Rams wear black and gold.

A major highlight in the program’s history came in 2000 when VCU reached the national championship match, finishing as runner-up and earning a No. 9 ranking in the final ITA standings—the highest end-of-season ranking for any VCU sport at the time.

The Rams have made numerous NCAA tournament appearances over the years, with seasons in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and up to 2021.

Coaching changes occurred in 2019, when Anthony Rossi was named head coach of the men’s team. He succeeded longtime coach Paul Kostin, who became director of tennis and focused on the women’s program.

VCU has won many Atlantic 10 conference tournament championships, including titles in 1996-2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012-2014, 2017-2019, and 2021.
