Uzbekistan at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Uzbekistan has competed at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships since 1993, after the Soviet Union broke up. The first medal came from Oksana Chusovitina, a bronze on vault in 1993. In 2003, Chusovitina won Uzbekistan’s first World Championship gold. In 2007, Anton Fokin became the first Uzbek male gymnast to win a World Championship medal, earning bronze on the parallel bars. Uzbekistan’s total medals: 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze (6 medals overall).
