Galayagudem
Galayagudem is a small village in Eluru district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It lies about 10 km north of the city of Eluru and is part of the Eluru revenue division. The nearest railway station is Denduluru (DEL), about 5.4 km away. The Achhamma Perantalamma temple in Galayagudem was built in 1957, and every year the villagers celebrate a nine-day festival called Achhamma Perantalu Mahotsavam.
As of the 2011 Census, Galayagudem has 2,374 residents—1,197 men and 1,177 women—giving a sex ratio of 983 females per 1,000 males. Children aged 0–6 number 269, making up about 13.65% of the population. The literacy rate is 69.83%, with 1,470 literate people. The village covers 2.77 square kilometers and sits at about 18 meters above sea level.
