Shorter, Faster, Louder
Shorter, Faster, Louder is the second and final studio album by the Philadelphia hardcore punk band Kid Dynamite. It was released on February 29, 2000, by Jade Tree and recorded September 1–17, 1999 at Trax East in South River, New Jersey. The album is 24 minutes and 49 seconds long and mixes punk rock, pop punk, and hardcore punk. Steve Evetts produced it. It follows their 1998 self-titled release and comes before Cheap Shots, Youth Anthems (2003).
Critics praised its energy and style. Exclaim! described the music as recalling early punk and highlighted tracks about youth culture, such as Living Daylights, Death and Taxes, and There’s a Party. Nuvo called the album genre-defining, and CMJ New Music Report called it a punk rock marathon, meant for moshing until the crowd wears out.
