The University of Al-Qadisiyah is a public research university in Al Diwaniyah, Iraq. It was established on December 23, 1987, by a government resolution that created four new universities. It began with the College of Education and the College of Business and Administration, and today it has 18 colleges and several learning centers.

In 2023, the university signed a memorandum with Durham University to develop heritage protection capacity, training staff and students in archaeology and lab techniques. As part of this collaboration, researchers helped locate the site of the Battle of al-Qadisiyyah using declassified satellite imagery.

The main campus sits on the northwestern edge of Diwaniyah, with additional campuses around the city. The main campus covers 371 acres, the Veterinary Campus 998 acres, and the Medical/Nursing Campus 12 acres. The university blends conservative and liberal influences in its campus planning and student life.

About 21,154 students attend Al-Qadisiyah (roughly 20,500 undergraduates and 650 postgraduates), taught by about 2,645 academic staff. The university is led by President Ehsan Kathem, Vice-president Adel Turki Al-Delwi, and Provost Firdous Abbas Jaber. Classes are conducted in Arabic and English. The motto is Arabic: وقل ربي زدني علما (My Lord Giveth Thy Knowledge). The official colors are Sapphire Blue and Air Superiority Blue.
