Evansville Post Office, also known as the Customs House, is a historic building in downtown Evansville, Indiana, at the 100 block of North West 2nd Street. It’s a three-story limestone structure built between 1876 and 1879 in Ruskinian Gothic style, with a basement, front arcade, an oriel window, a slate roof, and brownstone details.

The building was designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect, led by Alfred B. Mullett and William Appleton Potter, with Potter making major revisions to Mullett’s design. Construction started in 1876 and was finished in 1879 under James G. Hill. It originally housed the Post Office, the U.S. District Court for the District of Indiana, the Customs Service, the Weather Bureau, and other federal offices.

In 1918, wings were added to match the original architecture. The Evansville Post Office was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. After a new federal building opened in 1968, the old post office was sold and is now known as Old Post Office Plaza, used as office space and for events.
