Turn Me On (film)
Turn Me On is a 2024 American dystopian romantic comedy directed by Michael Tyburski and written by Angela Bourassa. The film stars Bel Powley and Nick Robinson. In a near-future world, the government uses a daily vitamin to remove human emotion, but two young lovers decide to skip their daily dose.
The movie was produced by Toby Nalbandian and Gregory Schmidt of Truant Pictures, along with Sean Bradley. Powley and Robinson were cast in February 2022. Filming began in November 2022 and wrapped by mid-May 2023.
North American rights were initially picked up by IFC Films after Cannes in 2022, but Vertical later acquired the North American rights in September 2024, planning a release in early 2025.
Turn Me On was included in the New Directors lineup at the 72nd San Sebastián International Film Festival on September 24, 2024. It had release dates on September 24, 2024 (Zinemaldia) and January 10, 2025 (United States). The production company is Truant Pictures, and the language is English.
