Mohorovičić (crater)
Mohorovičić is a 51-kilometer-wide impact crater on the far side of the Moon. It lies southwest of the larger Doppler crater and the Korolev walled plain. To its southwest is Lacus Oblivionis, a small lunar mare, and directly to the south sits a mountain formed by the South Pole–Aitken Basin impact. The crater is circular and worn from other impacts. The northern interior floor contains the satellite crater Mohorovičić Z near the northern wall, and a small cup-shaped crater intrudes the western rim. On lunar maps, nearby features are labeled with letters placed on the side of the midpoint closest to Mohorovičić. The crater is named after Andrija Mohorovičić.
