Tukreswari Temple, also called Tukreswari Devalaya, is an ancient Hindu temple in Goalpara district, Assam, India. It is dedicated to Goddess Sati and is considered a Shakta pitha—a sacred place linked to the belief that part of Sati’s body fell here after Shiva’s Tandava. The name Tukreswari comes from the Assamese word Tukura, meaning fragment. The temple complex has a main shrine for Goddess Sati and a secondary shrine for Lord Shiva, and it is a place of worship for followers of Shakti.
