Karmeshu (born May 30, 1949) is an Indian mathematician who specializes in mathematical modelling and computer simulation. He studied at the University of Delhi and has worked at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

In 1993, he received India’s Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in the mathematical sciences category. His work focuses on building mathematical models for how social and technical systems evolve with randomness, and on the connections between the structure and dynamics of different systems. His research has appeared in both Science Citation Index and Social Sciences Citation Index journals. He is also a recipient of the SSI Lifetime Achievement Award from the Systems Society of India.
