Trax is a 1991 shooter game for the Game Boy, developed and published by HAL Laboratory. In North America and Europe, Electro Brain published the game on rerelease. The music was composed by Hirohiko Takayama. It released in Japan on January 8, 1991; in North America on September 1, 1991; and in Europe later in 1991.

Gameplay
You control a tank with a cannon that can rotate to any of the four cardinal directions. Unlike traditional shooters, Trax mixes horizontal and vertical level layouts within the same stage, creating a multi-directional shooting experience.

Reception
Trax received average reviews. Critics noted its dynamic approach and some praised the graphics, controls, and multiplayer. However, they also pointed out slowdown when many enemies appear, and some criticized the visuals or sound, the lack of variety, and its lower difficulty or shorter length. The multiplayer aspect was frequently mentioned as a positive feature.
