Traveling in Sin
Traveling in Sin is a memoir by Lisa Ellen Niver and George Rajna of We Said Go Travel. The story is told through the two leads, who met online in January 2007. After getting to know each other, they travel to Fiji in the summer of 2008, where George reveals his dream to travel the world for a year and asks Lisa to join him. After some convincing, they begin a long journey together.
Their trip takes them from Fiji and French Polynesia to New Zealand and Australia, and then by land across much of Asia, from Indonesia to Mongolia. Along the way, Lisa loses some weight and finds inner courage, while George learns to open his heart and work as part of a team. The voyage is full of funny characters, moments of joy and tears, and challenges related to their different backgrounds and travel styles.
The couple sees many sights, grows closer, and returns to the United States excited about their upcoming wedding. They both leave their jobs, homes, and even their cat behind to pursue this adventurous path together.
