Toy Box is The Clay People’s debut EP, released in 1991 by Maltese Records. Recorded at Mainframe Studio in Baltimore, Maryland, the 26-minute release blends industrial metal with alternative metal. All tracks were written by Alex Eller, Daniel Neet, Peter Porto, and Kevin Michael Scott. The EP helped establish the band’s early industrial sound and their place in the cold wave scene. The track “Nothing” had been recorded at Arabellum Studios in February 1990 and appeared as the B-side on The Calling 7" single, produced by Art Snay.
