Max Bennett (born 24 November 1984) is an English actor from Leytonstone, London. He studied at The Latymer School, then read Modern and Medieval Languages at Queens’ College, Cambridge, and trained at the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris after his time with the National Youth Theatre.

Active since 2004, Bennett has worked across film, television and theatre. On TV, he is best known for Monk Adderley in Poldark and Robert Southwell in Will. In film, his notable roles include David in Bohemian Rhapsody and Brown in The Gentlemen.

In theatre, he has appeared in leading roles at major London venues—the West End and companies such as the Donmar Warehouse, Royal Court, Young Vic, Shakespeare's Globe and the National Theatre. Highlights include Ferdinand in Luise Miller (Donmar, 2011), Edmund in King Lear (Chichester Festival Theatre, later Broadway transfer), the lead in Tis Pity She's a Whore at the Globe (2014) and Anna at the National Theatre (2019). He has also appeared in 99 Francs (2007) and The Duchess (2008).

In 2009 he won second prize in the Ian Charleson Awards for his performances as Frank in Mrs Warren's Profession and Claudio in Measure for Measure. Bennett continues to act in film, television and stage.
