Tinashe Mutarisi
Tinashe Mutarisi is a Zimbabwean businessman and philanthropist. He founded Nash Paints, a leading paint maker and distributor in Zimbabwe, and chairs NASH Holdings, a group that owns Nash Paints and several other businesses.
He started Nash Paints in 2006 at Chikwanha Shopping Centre in Chitungwiza with three employees. The company grew to 36 branches and more than 500 staff across Zimbabwe. NASH Holdings includes Eastlea Paints, Nash Furnitures, Nashrin Cargo Carriers, Avion, Spec Paints, Project56 Construction and more, with operations in Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa and Botswana.
Mutarisi studied at Chinhoyi University of Technology and earned an MBA from Marjon University in the United Kingdom.
Born in Wedza, Zimbabwe, he grew up in Inyati Mine and attended Inyati Mine Primary School and Mavhudzi Secondary School. He is recognized as a leading young entrepreneur, ranking No. 2 on Ngoda Business’s Most Influential Zimbabwean Entrepreneurs Under 40 in 2017. In 2020, he expanded into the music scene with Nashtvzimbabwe.
Through Nash Paints, he supports the arts by backing Bustop TV, Jah Prayzah’s Military Touch Movement, and events like the Alfred Kainga comedy show. His philanthropy is carried out through the House of Hope Foundation and The Tinashe Mutarisi Trust. He has five children.
