Yan Haiwang
Yan Haiwang, born in 1939, is a Chinese politician. He was born in Zhengzhou, Henan, and studied in Harbin, Heilongjiang. He served as governor of Gansu in 1993 (January to September) and then as the Communist Party Secretary of Gansu from September 1993 to 1998. He was an alternate member of the 14th Central Committee (1992–1997) and a full member of the 15th (1997–2002) and 16th (2002–2007) Central Committees of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a delegate to the 8th (1993–1998) and 9th (1998–2003) National People's Congress and a member of the 10th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (2003–2008).
