The This Is a Fix album tour was The Automatic’s 2008 UK tour to promote their second album, This Is a Fix. It ran from April to December 2008, with the first leg playing smaller clubs and venues and later dates moving to larger venues. The band’s new guitarist, Paul Mullen, joined for the tour, sharing keyboard duties with Frost. The set mixed old songs from Not Accepted Anywhere with new material, and fans voted on which Not Accepted Anywhere tracks to include, highlighting songs like By My Side, Recover, and That’s What She Said, along with many B-sides.

Several March 2008 shows were rescheduled to allow more rehearsal time, and on 17 April 2008 the band announced they would perform some shows without keyboardist Alex Pennie. Highlights included a secret London show for the Rock Band video game release and headlining the Rock Against Racism Left Field stage. They also pulled out of the Midsomer Norton festival due to promotional commitments after T4 on the Beach rehearsals. The band has ties to Ash, who once covered Kung Fu and later dedicated Oh Yeah to them at Cardiff in 2008. Photographer Peter Hill played bass for the first time on the This Is a Fix performance, with Rob on synth. The tour was originally planned for June but moved to September because of the album’s recording. For the club shows, fans again voted on Not Accepted Anywhere songs to perform, with a set including That's What She Said, By My Side, Lost at Home, Recover, Raoul, On the Campaign Trail, and Monster.
