Sebastian Bergman
Sebastian Bergman, originally titled Den fördömde (The Cursed One), is a Swedish police procedural drama based on two novels by Michael Hjorth and Hans Rosenfeldt. The series stars Rolf Lassgård as Sebastian Bergman, a brilliant but troubled criminal profiler.
Bergman is an experienced psychologist who has effectively retired from police work. He is pulled back in as a consultant to help solve a murder case. He carries personal scars from the loss of his wife and child in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and initially clashes with the young detective Vanya, played by Moa Silén. He soon discovers that Vanya is his illegitimate daughter, a revelation that gives him a chance to rebuild his career and seek redemption.
The show premiered on Swedish television in 2010. It comprises two seasons and four 90-minute episodes. It aired on SVT1 from December 25–26, 2010. An English-subtitled version aired on BBC Four in 2012, and the series later began streaming on the MHZ network with English subtitles starting in 2014.
