Little Red Monkey is a 1955 British thriller directed by Ken Hughes. In the United States it was released as The Case of the Red Monkey. The story follows Scotland Yard detectives who investigate the murders of top nuclear scientists and hear strange reports about the crimes. The screenplay was written by Ken Hughes and James Eastwood, based on a 1953 BBC TV series created by Eric Maschwitz.

The film stars Richard Conte, Rona Anderson, Russell Napier, and Sylva Langova. It was made at Merton Park Studios by Anglo-Amalgamated, in a co-production with Anglo Guild, with Todon Productions involved. Alec C. Snowden produced the movie. The running time is 71 minutes and it is in English.

Little Red Monkey was an international hit and helped Anglo-Amalgamated produce more ambitious films, often with American stars to attract wider audiences.

Critical reception was mixed. The Monthly Film Bulletin praised the photography and editing but said the excitement was modest. Variety noted that British thrillers often lack American pacing, though Conte gave a capable performance as a U.S. official. British critic David Quinlan called it average, but said Conte and the direction were a cut above. The Radio Times gave it 3 out of 5 stars, rewarding Ken Hughes’s thriller handling and the strong work of Napier and Anderson.
