Thinkin About is a 2:39 drum and bass single by Australian producer ShockOne with New Zealand duo Lee Mvtthews. It was released on 24 May 2022 through Dark Machine Records. The song was written by Janeva Burrill, Robbie Bergin and Karl Thomas, and produced by ShockOne and Lee Mvtthews.
ShockOne asked Lee Mvtthews to collaborate, giving them the song’s basic structure and Burrill’s vocals, which were originally meant for another track. The duo said the song channels influences from Rüfüs Du Sol, Kanine and Flume, blending a rave feel with a radio-friendly sound. ShockOne described the track as capturing the hedonistic vibe of a night out with friends at a rave.
Two remixes followed in September by Pulp Friction and T & Sugah. In October, ShockOne toured Australia and New Zealand with Lee Mvtthews on the Dark Machine Records Warehouse Tour. The song reached #10 on the New Zealand Hot Singles chart in May 2022 and #19 on the New Zealand Artists chart in 2023. Music writer Brendan McCarthy gave it four out of five stars, praising its clear festival emotion, and George FM named it one of their top songs of 2022.
