The Wrestling School

The Wrestling School is a British theatre company led by playwright Howard Barker. It started in 1988 with actors from the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Court Theatre and has since produced only Barker’s plays. Based in London, it tours and performs in Off West End venues to premiere its work, including the Arcola Theatre and Riverside Studios. The company works with co-producers such as Birmingham REP, the Elsinore Hamlet Summer Festival, Exeter University and the Northcott Theatre. In a review of Judith, The Independent called it "the Wrestling School are the most important buildingless company in Britain."
