Pniv is a village in western Ukraine, in Nadvirna District of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. It is part of the Pasichna rural community and has about 4,620 residents. The village was founded in 1482.

Historically, from the mid-14th century to 1772 it belonged to the Kingdom of Poland. In 1772 it was taken by the Habsburg Empire and became part of Galicia until 1918. After World War I it joined the Second Polish Republic. Following the 1939 invasion of Poland, it was annexed by the Ukrainian SSR. German forces occupied it in 1941 during World War II. After the war it remained in the Ukrainian SSR, and since Ukraine gained independence in 1991 it has been part of Ukraine.
