Season 4 of The Voice of Vietnam aired on VTV3 from February 12 to June 4, 2017. It was hosted by Nguyên Khang, with Tim serving as the backstage correspondent. The coaches were Thu Minh, Tóc Tiên, Noo Phước Thịnh and Đông Nhi, making this the first season of The Voice worldwide to feature three female coaches and only one male coach. Ali Hoàng Dương won the season on June 4, 2017, with Thu Minh as the winning coach for the second time.

Background and lineup changes: After season 3, Tuấn Hưng did not return, and Đàm Vĩnh Hưng did not come back either. By January 4, 2017, the four coaches for season 4 were confirmed as Tóc Tiên, Noo Phước Thịnh, Đông Nhi and Thu Minh. Advisors for the battles and knockouts included Mỹ Linh, Khắc Hưng, Trung Quân, Phương Thanh, Thanh Hà, Siu Black and Hồ Ngọc Hà.

Format highlights: In the Battles, two contestants per team performed a duet, and the coach chose who advanced. There were no steals in the Battles, but each coach could bring back a previously eliminated contestant from their own team as a coach-comeback for the Knockouts. After the Battles, each team had six artists. The Knockouts reintroduced a knockout round where two artists per team performed; the coach chose the winner, and each coach could steal one losing contestant from another team. Winners and any steals moved on to the Live Shows; after the Knockouts, each team had four contestants.

Live shows and Wildcard: This season only the finals were recorded live; the playoffs were pre-recorded. Public voting took place in the stadium. The season introduced a Wildcard twist, allowing fans to vote on SaoStar.vn for a previously eliminated artist to join the Live Finals. On May 25, 2017, Ngô Anh Đạt of Team Noo Phước Thịnh was announced as the Wildcard and would return for the Live Finals after receiving the most public votes. Because the Live Finals had been recorded earlier, Ngô Anh Đạt only performed his finalist single and a duet with Noo Phước Thịnh during the Grand Finale.

Finals: The finals were a two-night event. Night 1 featured the Top 4 solo performances and duets with guest performers and was pre-recorded. Night 2, the Grand Finale, was broadcast live with the finalists performing their final songs and duets with their coaches; voting opened at the end of Night 1 and stayed open through the final performances on Night 2.
