Scorpio is a 1981 song by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. It was released as a single in 1982 from their album The Message. The track is an early electro-hip hop song, about three minutes long. It reached number 30 on the U.S. R&B Singles chart and number 77 on the UK Singles Chart. Music critic Mark Richardson called it the greatest early electro track in his Pitchfork review. The title comes from one of the group’s members, Eddie Morris, who performed as Scorpio (also known as Mr. Ness).
