Grand Military Gold Cup
Grand Military Gold Cup is a National Hunt steeplechase at Sandown Park in England for horses aged five and older. The about 3-mile race (3 miles 37 yards) is run in January each year. It began in 1841, and the 150th running was in 2013. It used to be restricted to horses owned by serving or former military members and ridden by serving military amateurs, but those ownership rules were removed in 2023. Before 2024 the race was held in March. A similar race, the Royal Artillery Gold Cup, is run at Sandown in February.
