The Solution is the fourth studio album by Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel. It was released on December 11, 2007, after Sigel took a short hiatus following 2005’s The B. Coming and re-signed with Roc-A-Fella Records. The recording sessions took place during 2006–2007, and the album runs about 50 minutes with 13 tracks.

Production and guests: The Solution features work from producers Dre & Vidal, The Runners, Reefa, Cool & Dre, Dame Grease, Eric Hudson, Rockwilder, and Chad West. Some initially planned tracks with Scott Storch and Sha Money XL were cut. The lead single “All the Above” (featuring R. Kelly) was released October 29, 2007. Guest appearances include Jay-Z on “Gutted,” Styles P on “U Ain’t Ready 4 Me,” Diddy, Ghostface Killah, and Peedi Crakk on “Shake It For Me,” Scarface with Raheem DeVaughn on “Rain (Bridge),” Ozzy Osbourne’s influence on “The Day,” and a James Blunt sample on “Dear Self (Can I Talk To You).” Kanye West did not contribute to the album.

Reception: The album received generally positive reviews, earning a Metacritic score of 72 out of 100 from 10 critics. Critics highlighted Sigel’s sharp flow and the mix of hard, radio-friendly, and personal songs. Sigel described The Solution as more conscious and grounded in his life experiences, aiming to make hard, relevant music rather than depressing songs.
