Systenus is a genus of flies in the Dolichopodidae family. It belongs to the animal kingdom, the arthropod phylum, the insect class, and the Diptera order. It sits in the Medeterinae subfamily and the Systenini tribe. The genus was named by Loew in 1857, with Rhaphium adpropinquans as its type species.
