The Man from the River is a 1928 detective novel by G. D. H. Cole and Margaret Cole. It is the fourth book in their series about Superintendent Wilson of Scotland Yard. The story follows Wilson, who is on holiday in rural Essex when a man's body is found in a river. At first, it seems like an accidental drowning, but it turns out to be murder. Suspects include the man's business partner, his wife, her lover, or a local doctor. The book was published in the United Kingdom by Collins and in the United States by Macmillan.
