The Home Game (Icelandic: Heimaleikurinn) is an Icelandic sports documentary directed by Smari Gunn and Logi Sigursveinsson. The film follows a man who tries to make his father’s dream come true: gathering local people to play the first match on a football field his father built 25 years earlier in Hellissandur, a small fishing village.

The film premiered on May 30, 2023 at the Skjaldborg Film Festival. It runs 79 minutes and is in Icelandic.

Produced by Silfurskjár and The Freezer, it stars Freydís Bjarnadóttir, Viðar Gylfason, and Kári Viðarsson. Cinematography is by Logi Sigursveinsson, and it was edited by Smari Gunn and Logi Sigursveinsson, with music by Kristján Sturla Bjarnason.

Awards include the Einarinn Audience Award at Skjaldborg 2023, the City of Malmö Audience Award at Nordisk Panorama 2023, and the Audience Award at the Glasgow Film Festival in 2024. It was also named Documentary of the Year in Iceland by readers of Klapptré.
