The Best of Walt Disney's True-Life Adventures
The Best of Walt Disney's True-Life Adventures is a 1975 American documentary by Walt Disney Productions. It is a compilation of highlights from the True-Life Adventures series, which included 13 nature films made between 1948 and 1960. Directed by James Algar and narrated by Winston Hibler, the 89-minute movie opens with a salute to Walt Disney and then showcases dramatic animal moments from various habitats—from the American prairie and desert to Africa, the Amazon jungle, and the Arctic.
Released by Buena Vista on October 8, 1975, the film has not been released on any physical format in the United States. It did come out on VHS in the United Kingdom in the 1980s. Today, you can watch it digitally on Amazon Video, YouTube, Disney Movies Anywhere, and iTunes.
