The Union of Transport and Communications Workers of Yugoslavia was a Yugoslav trade union for people working in transportation and communications. It was formed in 1959 by merging four unions: Maritime Workers, Postal/Telegraph/Telephone Employees, Railwaymen, and Transport Workers. It was affiliated with the Confederation of Trade Unions of Yugoslavia. By 1965 it claimed about 306,000 members and was led by Dane Olbina. In 1974, the Union of Maritime and River Shipping Workers split away. In 1990 the union itself divided into several smaller unions, including the Independent Trade Unions of Railway Maintenance Workers (ŽTP), Electrical Installations of HŽP, Croatian Road Workers, and the Federation of Croatian Post and Telecommunications Workers.
