The Abduction of the Sabine Women (1928 film)
The Abduction of the Sabine Women, or Der Raub der Sabinerinnen, is a 1928 German silent comedy film. It was directed by Robert Land and stars Ralph Arthur Roberts, Ida Wüst, and Teddy Bill. The story comes from the play of the same name by Franz von Schönthan and Paul von Schönthan, which had several earlier film adaptations. The film’s sets were designed by art director Robert Neppach, and the cinematography was by Willy Goldberger. It was produced by Super Film and distributed by Deutsche Lichtspiel-Syndikat. It was released on 23 November 1928 in Germany. The movie is a silent film with German intertitles.
