Thalassa montezumae, the Montezuma lady beetle, is a small beetle in the ladybug family (Coccinellidae). It lives in the United States, Mexico, and Guatemala. Adults are about 4.5 to 5.8 mm long. Males have a bluish-black pronotum with yellow margins at the front and sides. Females have a bluish-black pronotum with a very faint yellow angle at the front edge. The elytra (wing covers) are bluish black with a reddish-yellow spot.
