WYPC
WYPC is a Wellston, Ohio radio station broadcasting on 1330 AM with a sports format, branded as The Game. It’s owned by Total Media Group, Inc. and serves the Wellston–Jackson area. The station carries programming from Fox Sports Radio and Westwood One, and it also broadcasts on 105.3 FM through translator W287CZ in Jackson. Its sister stations are WKOV-FM and WCJO.
WYPC began in 1953 as WKOV on 1570 AM and moved to 1330 AM by 1958. An FM station, WKOV-FM, was added in 1971. In 1991 the station changed its call letters to WYPC-AM and switched from adult contemporary to country music, with the AC format moving to WKOV-FM (which had previously programmed beautiful music). In the mid-1990s WYPC adopted an adult standards format. In August 2012 WYPC switched to sports talk.
