Tess Gunty
Tess Gunty (born 1992) is an American novelist from South Bend, Indiana. She earned a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame and an MFA in creative writing from New York University. Her debut novel, The Rabbit Hutch, was published by Knopf on August 2, 2022. It won the National Book Award for Fiction in November 2022 and the Indiana Authors Awards in 2024. The book received positive reviews and won the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize. It was also a finalist for the 2022 John Leonard Prize from the National Book Critics Circle.
