Trishna is a 1978 Indian Hindi film directed by Anil Ganguly. It stars Shashi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, and Raakhee, and is loosely inspired by the Tamil film Thoondil Meen (1977).

Plot: Dr. Sunil Gupta, a wealthy husband, and his wife Aarti want a child but can’t have one. Aarti goes to their Khandala bungalow near her sister Vidya’s home. There, Vinod, a decorator hired by Vidya, spends time with Aarti and they begin an affair. After a heated moment, Aarti accidentally kills Vinod. Vidya helps hide the body. Later, Sunil brings home a man who claims to have memory loss—the man is Vinod, who slowly starts to remember. Vidya and Aarti fear the truth will come out and try to keep Vinod from fully remembering.
