Tejuosho Market

Tejuosho Market is a market along Ojuelegba-Itire Road in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. It has two parts: Phase I and Phase II. After a fire damaged much of the market, the Lagos State Government, Stormberg Engineering Limited, and First Bank of Nigeria rebuilt it as a large shopping plaza through a public-private partnership, as part of Lagos’s plan to become a Mega City. Before the fire, Tejuosho was a middle-class market where goods were sold cheaply. After reconstruction, stall prices rose, and some low-income traders criticized the government for involving private companies in the rebuild.
