Tamil shorthand
Tamil shorthand is a quick-writing system for the Tamil language. It was invented by Srinivasa Rao and has been in use since 1894. N. Subramania Iyer, who founded The Stenographers’ Guild in 1935, also contributed to its development. Both shorthand methods are officially recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu for official use.
