Tahawar Ali
Tahawar Ali (died 1854) was a noble in the Bhonsle royal court of Nagpur. A wealthy man from Nagpur, he served in the court alongside his maternal uncle Qazi Najibuddin. The ruler at that time was Raghuji Bhonsle III, who reigned from 1818 to 1853. During his illness, Tahawar Ali traveled from Nagpur to Rewari with the caravan of Bakshi Ghulam Haider ibn Mufti Noorul Haq. His mother, Amaratun Nisan from Tijara, heard he was coming and went to Rewari to welcome him, but she fell ill there and died on Dhu al-Hijjah 1244 AH (1828 AD). Tahawar Ali spent his last days in Tijara and died on 13 Rabi' al-awwal 1271 AH (1854 AD).
He was married to Fahimun Nisan, daughter of Abdul Qayyum ibn Ghulam Nabi from Dotana, a village in Peepaloo Tahsil, Tonk district, Rajasthan. They had four sons: Abdur Razzak, Ibrahim Ali, Yusuf Ali, and Yaqub Ali. Fahimun Nisan stayed in Tijara after Tahawar Ali’s death, even when all her sons left for Bhopal, and she died on 10 Muharram 1301 AH (1883 AD).
