John and Lavina Bangs House
John and Lavina Bangs House is a historic Italianate house near New London, Iowa. Built in 1865 by John Bangs, a successful farmer, it was his second house on the property. The large, stylish farm house is somewhat rare for its time, and its design may reflect a shift from pioneer life toward a more cultured era. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 28, 2003 (NRHP reference number 03000831).
