The Tagea Brandts Rejselegat (Travel Scholarship) is a Danish award for women who have stood out in science, literature or the arts. The grant is given without an application and is awarded every year on March 17, Tagea Brandt’s birthday. It was created in 1905 by industrialist Vilhelm Brandt in honor of his wife, Tagea Brandt.

The 1922 charter broadened the award to include science, art, music, literature and theater (and especially actresses at the Royal Danish Theatre). The goal is for the recipient to broaden her horizons, promote Denmark abroad, and enjoy time for rest and travel.

The first scholarships were awarded in 1924. The grant started at 10,000 DKK (in 1958 it rose to 15,000, then 25,000 in 1967, later 50,000, and today 75,000 DKK). Typically 2–3 women receive it each year.
