Sweet Inspiration is a 1970 soul song by the American group Johnny Johnson and the Bandwagon. It was the first single from their second album, Soul Survivor, and reached number 10 on the UK Singles Chart, giving the band their second top-ten hit there. The group had moved to the United Kingdom because they were more successful there than in the United States, where Breakin' Down the Walls of Heartache had been a top-five hit. "Sweet Inspiration" was released in the UK first, with the US release following in July. The B-side is "Pride Comes Before a Fall," written by Jacky Arthur and Mel Kent. The 7-inch single runs about 3 minutes and was released on Bell. It was written by John Cameron and produced by Tony Macaulay.
