Studenica Typikon
Studenica Typikon is a Serbian Orthodox guide for monastery life, written in 1208 by Saint Sava, the first head of the Serbian Church. The front part tells the life of St. Simeon, Sava’s father, Grand Prince Stefan Nemanja, who was canonized. The Typikon was based on the Hilandar Monastery’s rules on Mount Athos and later became the model for the monasteries of Žiča, Sopoćani, Mileševa, Gračanica, and Dečani.
