Streptomyces asiaticus
Streptomyces asiaticus is a bacterium from the Streptomyces genus. It was first described in 2001 by Sembiring and colleagues. The bacterium was found in the ectorhizosphere (the soil around the roots) of the tree Falcataria moluccana (also known as Paraserianthes falcataria) on the Indonesian island of Java, in the Yogyakarta region. Several reference strains are used in laboratories, including A14P1, CGMCC 4.1983, DSM 41761, JCM 11443, NBRC 100774, NCIMB 13675, and NRRL B-24276.
