Valle Soprana
Valle Soprana is a small village in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It is a frazione of the town of Teramo, in the province of Teramo. The village sits about 520 meters above sea level, roughly six miles from Teramo, near Gran Sasso National Park.
The surrounding countryside features old trails called tratturi, once used by shepherds moving sheep from Abruzzo to the regions of Apulia and Lazio.
Valle Soprana lies on the Fiumiciello, a small stream that flows into the Tordino river. The SP47 road passes through the village, connecting Frondarola and Pagliaroli.
The Aceti family has lived in the area for centuries and formerly ran a small pharmacy in nearby Valle San Giovanni.
